Everything you need to know about the Shokbox Premium.

Shokbox® Premium accommodates road, gravel, triathlon/time-trial and mountain bikes. Mountain bikes with a wheelbase exceeding approximately 118 cm may require additional disassembly. As bike dimensions and geometry vary, please contact us with your bike’s make, model and frame size if you would like us to confirm compatibility before ordering.

You will need to remove your wheels and pedals. Depending on your handlebar and stem arrangement, you may be able to loosen the stem and rotate the handlebars, or you may need to remove the stem and handlebars from the steerer and pack them alongside the frame. Whether the seatpost can remain fitted depends on your bike’s size, geometry and saddle height.

Shokbox® Premium combines a durable HDPE outer shell with premium-quality convoluted foam sheets and a built-in, moulded anti-crush pole. The foam cushions and separates the bike and wheels, while the anti-crush pole helps protect the case against compression during transit.

The bike is secured inside Shokbox® Premium using three internal packing straps. Both padded wheel bags are packed inside the lid, one on each side of the central anti-crush pole, and held in place using elastic straps. This keeps the bike and wheels securely positioned while separating them from one another during transit.

Shokbox® Premium weighs 13.5 kg, including its supplied padded wheel bags, triangle accessory bag, internal protection and fittings.

Shokbox® Classic and Shokbox® Premium use the same shell and internal protection system. The difference is that Shokbox® Premium includes two padded wheel bags and a triangle accessory bag as standard. These accessories provide additional protection and help keep your wheels, equipment and smaller components organised during travel.

No. Shokbox® Premium does not include GPS tracking. You can place your own compatible tracking device inside the case if you wish to track its location while travelling.

Shokbox® Premium is a traditional-style bike case and requires more bike adjustment and disassembly than Shokbox® Pro . The larger Shokbox® Pro allows the handlebars to remain attached and includes a Ride Rug, fully foam-lined interior, two anti-crush beams and four TSA-approved combination latches. Shokbox® Premium includes convoluted foam sheets, one built-in anti-crush pole and two TSA-approved security latches.

The external dimensions of Shokbox® Premium are 120 × 90 × 33 cm. Whether it will fit depends on your vehicle and seating configuration, so we recommend measuring the available space with the rear seats folded before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us with your vehicle’s make, model and year, and we will help you assess it.

Shokbox® Premium accommodates road, gravel, triathlon/time-trial and mountain bikes. Its elastic wheel-securing system does not rely on axle or wheel-hub mounts, allowing it to accommodate disc brakes, thru-axles, larger tyres and wheels up to 29 inches without requiring axle adapters. A full-carbon disc wheel cannot be accommodated.

Yes. Replacement components are available, including castor wheels, axles, latches, internal straps and foam. Padded wheel bags and triangle accessory bags can also be purchased separately. If you are unsure which component you require, contact us with a photograph of the part and we will help identify the correct replacement.

Shokbox® Premium is protected by the Shokbox® Lifetime Warranty , covering the shell and structural integrity of the case during reasonable use. Replaceable components, airline or third-party damage, extreme impacts and normal wear and tear are not covered. Please read the full warranty terms and conditions for complete details.
